I can’t believe Lent is already upon us!

Lent is a season of penance. Our goal should be to purify our hearts so we may joyfully celebrate the resurrection of our Lord at Easter, which is the greatest feast of the liturgical year.

The saints of the Church are constantly telling us to read good spiritual books, and there is no better time to begin this practice than during Lent!

Catholic Book and Gift is a great sponsor of St. Michael Catholic Radio and they have generously provided a way for us to read a great book at a lower price!

During this Lenten time, Catholic Book and Gift is giving anyone who mentions this blog a 10% 2nd greatest story ever tolddiscount to “The Second Greatest Story Ever Told: Now Is the Time of Mercy” by Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC (in store only).

In The Second Greatest Story Ever Told bestselling author Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC, reveals St. John Paul II’s witness for our time. Building on the prophetic voices of Margaret Mary Alacoque, Thérèse of Lisieux, Maximilian Kolbe, and Faustina Kowalska, The Second Greatest Story Ever Told is more than a historical account of the Great Mercy Pope. This book expounds on the profound connection between Divine Mercy and Marian consecration. It serves as an inspiration for all those who desire to bear witness to the mercy of God, focused on Christ and formed by Mary. Now is the time of mercy.
